“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” Margaret Mead
This network warmly welcomes everyone who is interested in learning new ways of working better together, testing and supporting change and exploring the answers to those questions which matter most across our health and social care systems. Anyone with a passion for improving patient care can join and membership of the Co-Creation Network is free.
The Co-Creation Network is funded and coordinated by Yorkshire and the Humber Leadership Academy, to support Communities of Practice (CoPs). The CoPs are made up of dedicated health and social care professionals, academics, service users and not-for-profit sector connecting to share their knowledge in a safe, open and collaborative way. Some Communities cover broad topics (known as ‘domains’), and some Communities have a very specific function to answer a particular burning question.
Communities of Practice (CoP) are not a new idea and spring up in all kinds of places, not just in healthcare. CoPs are a great way to bring together people from different organisations and walks of life, with different skills and perspectives to approach issues together and allow thinking space.
This website is the virtual space for the Co-Creation Network to use to have conversations, share learning and knowledge, save a library of useful, relevant documents and generally keep in touch with the other members. It is managed by the Co-Creation Network Support Team.
You can explore the site for Communities of Practice already up and running, and request to join the one which matches your interests. Or, if you have an idea for a Community of Practice and would like to set one up then please get in touch with the Support Team via Lucy Scarisbrick to let us know.
The site works best if you create a free account and log in as a member. For any help, technical support or frequently asked questions check out our Help/FAQs page.
