-Provides an opportunity for members to lead on delivering LGBT+ service improvement projects in their areas. This will be under the shared vision of the Rainbow Alliance and communicated through social media, LYPFT website and Staffnet
-Accepts accountability to the Trust’s Equality and Inclusion Group and communicates the goals and work of the Rainbow Alliance to senior management and the Trust Board
How does it do it?
-By establishing effective working partnerships across Leeds with other NHS Trusts, the Local Authority and third sector support services
-By ensuring the Rainbow Alliance has a visible presence around the Trust, highlighting a commitment to LGBT+ inclusivity and showing that we are an organisation that values the health and wellbeing of the LGBT+ community
-Through Rainbow Alliance members attending quarterly meetings to share good practice, set goals and identify any service areas where practice and culture needs supporting and developing as a priority
-Promoting, supporting and representing the Trust during key events relating to the LGBT+ community (e.g. Pride, Transgender Day of Remembrance, LGBT History Month)
