Spring Basecamp took place 19th March 2015 at the Met Hotel, Leeds. Nearly 100 people joined us for a day and evening event, to launch the Co-Creation Network to a wider audience.
We heard from Communities of Practice facilitator, Annette Thain (NHS Education for Scotland), and Dr Igor Pyrko (Strathclyde Business School) who shared with us their experience of running The Knowledge Network, and building an evidence base and evaluation framework respectively.
Anna Betz gave an inspiring talk on the energies needed to sustain change; and our speakers were joined by Liz Maddocks-Brown and Laura Hibbs from NHSIQ for a panel discussion.
The afternoon was given over to the Communities to attract new members, have time to meet and time to create.
In the evening, we held a celebration of the Co-Creation Network, with PechaKucha style talks – personal, funny, engaging and thought-provoking – from its members and facilitators, to launch the Communities of Practice into the wider world of health and social care.
